My name is Clare. Well, that is what I go by on here. I am a 22 year old student. I am a “Yankee Belle” – I grew up in the North but am more Southern than my Southern born and bred friends.

I am a baby Catholic, having officially joined the Church on April 28, 2011. However, my beliefs have been those of the Church for many years. I don’t usually shy away from letting someone know this. I mean, I carry a Bible, Rosary and tiny notebook with a prayer list in my purse. I usually wear a chain decorated with at least one medal.

I love to paint, sing, play piano, write and act. I hope my talents will be of good use someday.

I have copied that verse of that Psalm at the top for a reason. I might be a young Catholic, but I feel like God is calling me to a life filled with works in His name. Shhhh! My family can’t know this.

My family won’t even talk about my joining the Church. There is no way I can talk to them about me feeling called to be a nun! I’m particularly drawn to three spiritualities: Franciscan, Vincentian, and Salesian. It makes my discernment very interesting sometimes.
